Discover the Wachau valley with a guide

If you prefer having a structured daily schedule and have everything planned for you, then a guided bike tour is probably the best fit. Our tours provide the convenience for you to not worry about routes, meals, sightseeing and so on. Our guides will familiarize you with the austrian culture and show you everything our beautiful region has to offer. Get ready for an exciting bike trip with cultural and – if you like – culinary experiences.

Bambini Tour:

Duration ~ 1 hour, 8 km.

This tour is ideal for small children. It is only 7 kilometers long, leads through beautiful sunflower fields and gives a fantastic view of the Göttweig Abbey. You can take a break near an affluent of the danube and feed ducks! On your way back enjoy the scenery of Krems and Stein. Finish your journey at the new adventure playground of Mautern and visit the Roman museum.

Richard Lionheart – Tour: Dürnstein

Duration ~ 3 hours, 20 km, low difficulty.

On the right bank of the Danube you will cycle in the direction of Rossatz – enjoying the fantastic views of Stein and the vineyards of Loiben. Halfway, you can see the old castle of Dürnstein. In Rossatz you will pass vineyards and fruit orchards. Near the campsite you can cross the Danube on a small ferry. In Dürnstein you should take a stroll through the old historical village centre – that’s an absolute must! On your way back you will cycle through Loiben and Förthof where you can stop for a lovely glass of wine (Heurigen). After you have crossed the Danube again, you are back in Mautern.

Riesling – Tour: Weißenkirchen

Duration ~ 4 hours, 30 km, low difficulty.

You will cycle on the right bank of the Danube to Rossatz and then further on to St. Lorenz where you can cross the Danube on a small ferry. You will arrive in Weißenkirchen with fantastic views of the Danube valley in the direction of Spitz and Dürnstein. You will then cycle through the “Heurigen” village of Weißenkirchen, back to Dürnstein.

Tausendeimerberg Tour: Spitz

Duration ~ 5 hours, 40 km, medium difficulty.

You will start like tour 3, but instead of crossing the Danube in St. Lorenz you go on to Arnsdorf – a village in the middle of the Wachau with stunning views of St. Michael and the Tausendeimerberg of Spitz. In Arnsdorf you cross the Danube to Spitz with views of the Ruine Hinterhaus.

Wachau Tour: Melk

Duration ~ 8 hours, 60 km, medium difficulty.

The route starts like tour 4, but you will go on from Arnsdorf to Melk (a visit of Melk abbey is recommended). You will then cross the Danube in Melk (bridge) and cycle back on the left bank of the Danube starting in Emmersdorf. (tour 4)
